Ingredients

Scale

Garlic Oil

  • 3 garlic cloves, grated
  • 3 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
  • Pinch of salt

Pizza Base

  • 1 lb. fresh pizza dough (thawed to room temperature)
  • Flour or cornmeal for dusting

Toppings

  • 1 (8-oz.) ball mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced or torn
  • 3/4 cup DeLallo Tomato Bruschetta
  • 1/3 cup fresh torn basil leaves
  • DeLallo Balsamic Glaze for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare Garlic Oil: In a small bowl, combine the grated garlic cloves, extra-virgin olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to infuse the oil with garlic flavor and set aside.
  2. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dough: Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 500°F. While the oven heats, place a large piece of parchment paper on your work surface and lightly sprinkle with flour or cornmeal. Place the pizza dough on the parchment and sprinkle more flour on top for easier handling. Roll and stretch the dough into a 12 to 14-inch round. Brush the dough evenly with the prepared garlic oil.
  3. Add Cheese and Bake: Arrange the sliced or torn mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the garlic oil brushed dough. Use a pizza peel to carefully transfer the pizza with the parchment paper onto the preheated stone or baking sheet inside the oven. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
  4. Add Bruschetta and Garnish: Remove the pizza from the oven and spoon the DeLallo Tomato Bruschetta evenly over the melted cheese. Scatter the fresh torn basil leaves on top. Finally, drizzle generously with DeLallo Balsamic Glaze to add a sweet and tangy finish.
  5. Serve: Slice the pizza into 8 pieces and serve immediately while warm and fresh.

Notes

  • For best results, allow the fresh pizza dough to come to room temperature before stretching.
  • You can substitute store-bought bruschetta if DeLallo brand is unavailable.
  • Using a pizza stone helps achieve a crispier crust but a baking sheet works well too.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic oil according to your preference for garlic intensity.
  • Basil can be substituted with fresh oregano or parsley for a different flavor profile.
  • If you prefer a thinner crust, roll the dough thinner but watch baking time closely to prevent burning.
