Ingredients

Scale

Frozen Yogurt Mixture

  • 1 cup non-dairy yogurt (plain and unsweetened)
  • 2 tablespoons protein powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup cashew butter (or any nut/seed butter)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Mix Frozen Yogurt Base: Add all frozen yogurt ingredients except the chocolate chips into a bowl and mix thoroughly until smooth and well combined. Then gently stir in the mini chocolate chips to evenly distribute throughout the mixture.
  2. Scoop the Mixture: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Use a medium-large cookie scoop to scoop dollops of the frozen yogurt mixture onto the sheet, spacing them slightly apart to allow for freezing.
  3. Freeze the Bites: Transfer the baking sheet to the freezer. Freeze for at least 1 hour or until the yogurt bites are completely solid and firm to the touch.
  4. Melt Chocolate Coating: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt together the chocolate chips and coconut oil until the mixture is smooth and fully combined. Stir well to ensure no lumps remain.
  5. Dip and Coat: Remove the frozen yogurt bites from the freezer. Dip each solid bite into the melted chocolate mixture to fully coat it, then place it back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Final Freeze: Return the coated bites to the freezer for at least 30 minutes or until the chocolate coating has hardened completely.
  7. Store and Serve: Store the frozen yogurt bites in the freezer until ready to enjoy. They can be eaten straight from the freezer as a refreshing and tasty treat.

  • Store the frozen yogurt bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • To make dairy-free and vegan, ensure the chocolate chips and yogurt are non-dairy and vegan-friendly.
