5.1 from 29 reviews

Deliciously sticky pineapple-teriyaki chicken wings that combine sweet and savory flavors in a simple 3-step baking process. Perfect as an appetizer or a flavorful main dish, these wings are coated in a tangy pineapple and teriyaki sauce with a hint of garlic and ginger for an irresistible glaze.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split at joints

Marinade & Sauce

  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking the wings evenly and getting a crisp texture.
  2. Bake Wings Partially: Place the chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer. Bake them for 25 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even cooking and browning on all sides.
  3. Prepare Sauce and Finish Baking: While the wings bake, mix pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper in a bowl. After the initial bake, brush this sticky sauce generously over the wings, then return them to the oven for another 15 minutes to set the glaze and deepen the flavor. Serve hot with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, broil for 2-3 minutes after the final bake but watch closely to prevent burning.
  • Adjust honey amount according to your preferred sweetness level.
  • Ensure wings are dry before baking for better crispiness.
  • Can be served with a side of steamed rice or fresh vegetables for a complete meal.
